SNO appeals Parliament to take up Sikh Issues and urges Sikhs to wear golden yellow headgear to avoid hate crimes due to mistaken identity,in a demonstration at Patiala on Martyrdom day of legendry Shaheed Bhai Taru Singh, who preferred to get his skull chopped off, but did not allow cutting of hair.

To avoid hate crimes against Sikhs due to mistaken identity, in USA and other countries, Sikh Nation Organization apealed to Sikhs living through out the world, to wear every Thursday, Khalsa-iDastar i.e. golden yellow head gear, the colour traditionally adopted by Khalsa and not worn by Muslims.

SNO also apealed to Members of both houses of the Parliament to take up, at national and international level the problems and issues relating to Sikh Identity i.e. Ban on Turban and religious symbols in France, Disrespect to Turban in Germany, Hate crimes in USA, Ban on carrying a Kirpan in Denmark, non enactment of Sikh Personal Law and Forcing of Helmets on Sikh women by Chandigarh Traffic Police, in India.

To high light the issue, holding play cards, Sikh children, and elders organized a demonstraton near Guruduara Dukhniwaran, Patiala on Martyrdom day of legendary Shaheed Bhai Taru Singh, who preferred to get his skull chopped off, but did not allow cutting of hair.

Dr. Manjit Singh Randhawa, President of SNO disclosed that a representation regarding urgent Sikh religious and identity issues has already reached Prime Minister, and his cabinet, Chairman, Vice Chairman and all Members of Rajya Sabha, besides, Speaker, Deputy Speaker and to 165 Members of Lok Sabha, while rest of them will receive it within next weak.

Meanwhile White House has acknowleged reciept of a representation sent by SNO to draw attention of the President of USA on the issue of continuing Hate crimes against Sikhs as a result of mistaken identity.
